Application of information technology in construction industry


In recent years, Guangdong Province has actively promoted the integrated application of Internet, Internet of Things, AI, big data and other technologies in construction projects, and has achieved remarkable results, and the traditional operation mode and management mode are undergoing revolutionary changes.


Explore smart construction and operation. Public housing projects. A public housing in Shenzhen and its affiliated projects are currently under construction in the country's large-scale prefabricated public housing projects, with a total investment of 5.8 billion yuan and a total construction area of about 1.16 million square meters. The project is the "13th Five-Year" national key research and development plan green building and building industrialization key special comprehensive demonstration project, demonstration landing 16 "13th Five-Year" national key research and development plan project 49 key technical results, for China's green building and building industrialization to achieve scale, high efficiency and sustainable development to provide technical support.

Third, the whole life cycle component traceability. Each prefabricated component generates an identity code, and uses two-dimensional code technology to record the whole process of component production, construction and other information, so as to realize the traceability of the whole life cycle information of components, and the interconnection of all elements and full data in the construction process.


Fourth, there is no automatic inspection and three-dimensional modeling. The mapping robot completes the millimeter-level point cloud mapping scan of the project site, automatically establishes the building point cloud model in the cloud, and integrates it with the model to realize automatic comparison with BIM design data and automatically generate quality reports.


Fifth, unsafe behavior machine vision recognition. A construction robot. Promote the implementation of smart regulation and services. Based on the Internet of Things, cloud computing, VR and other technologies, Shenzhen developed and operated an intelligent supervision platform for construction engineering and a smart supervision system for construction waste in 2018.


The intelligent supervision platform of Shenzhen Construction engineering stores all data on the site in the cloud through functions such as real-time site monitoring, site operation information traceability management, site equipment working condition management and security ledger management. Project managers can use mobile phones, computers, tablets and other mobile terminal devices to access cloud data and operate and control the site. Solve the problems in time, constantly improve the construction site management, and promote the standardization of project site quality and safety management.

Shenzhen construction waste intelligent supervision system based on the Internet of Things, remote sensing, cloud computing, big data and other information technology, the construction waste discharge, transportation, transit, backfill, receiving and utilization of the process of the implementation of the whole process, all-weather intelligent supervision. In the construction industry, Guangdong Province has boldly carried out pioneering experiments using cutting-edge technologies such as AI, cloud computing and big data, and achieved phased results. However, through the investigation, it is found that there are still the following problems in the application of information technology in engineering projects:


The technology needs to be further improved. At present, the construction robot product technology needs to be further polished and perfected in practice. For example, the research and development work of building robots is mostly dominated by computer technology experts, and only aims at achieving construction-related functions. Due to the lack of construction experience and insufficient consideration of the construction conditions of the project site, the performance of the construction robot in the field construction process is unstable. If the construction robot is used to carry out decoration work, due to insufficient consideration of the poor accuracy of the civil construction of the main structure, the construction positioning of the construction robot will be biased, which will affect the construction quality and efficiency


The application process lacks regulatory and standard support. The construction method of construction robot is different from the traditional construction method, and the existing standards and supervision process need to be improved. Although some enterprises have formulated relevant standards for the application of information technology, due to incomplete content, imperfect system and lack of technical support, the actual guidance role is not strong. For example, the research and development of intelligent lifts will replace the current construction lifts, but the current national standard stipulates that the dual-use construction lifts must be operated by personnel who are trained and hold the lift special equipment certificate, which contradicts the working mode of intelligent lifts that do not require operators. At present, the construction robot in the construction equipment inspection and other aspects, the state has not yet a special standard and laws and regulations, affecting the development and application of construction robots.


Application scenarios need to be further expanded. Some enterprises have applied information technology in the construction link, and have played a very good effect. However, from the perspective of the application of the whole chain, information technology has not been fully applied to the whole process of construction management of construction projects, resulting in a relatively single application scenario of information technology, affecting the application effect of information technology in the construction industry, which is not conducive to the long-term development of information technology in the construction industry.


In order to accelerate the popularization and application of information technology in engineering projects and promote the high-quality development of the construction industry, the following suggestions are put forward:


Comprehensively strengthen the application research of building robot technology. The research and development of construction robots should be led by construction technology and assisted by robot technology. By strengthening the construction robot site test work, according to the construction robot site test data, the performance parameters of equipment and products are improved and perfected, and the safety performance and construction efficiency of construction robots are continuously verified. After the safety certification and qualification certification by the market supervision department, under the premise of ensuring the quality and safety of construction, construction robot products can be put into the actual project to promote the use. Strengthen the investigation of construction robot construction safety risk points and hidden dangers, and compile relevant operation management guidelines. Formulate and improve relevant regulations and standards. Construction involves many laws and regulations, the development and use of construction robots is a new model, the lack of relevant laws and regulations support, in the actual work there are relevant laws and regulations lag, and contradict with the new mode of construction, and some seriously restrict the product development and trial. To this end, we should actively explore and solve the problem of lagging laws and regulations, and make up for shortcomings as soon as possible. Fully consider the application scenarios of new technologies, strengthen in-process and post-event supervision, and remove regulatory and institutional obstacles. Actively guide, encourage, and support enterprises and localities to promote the preparation of industry standards, accelerate the improvement of information technology application standards and norms, and gradually raise enterprise standards to group standards, local standards or national standards, docking the existing construction quality acceptance of relevant norms, through the improvement of technical standards system, to promote the practical application of information technology in construction projects


Actively expand the whole chain application scenarios. Construction management activities of construction engineering have the characteristics of long duration, complexity, and involve multidisciplinary knowledge.
